Why subscribe?

I’m trying out a few different modes of engagement here. The free tier will get writings, presentations, etc that are out in the open. The paid tiers will get exclusive access to work-in-progress research. The idea here is to see if directly reader-supported work is viable for me as an income stream, and also to use to the paywall to avoid any issues with interim work being ‘published’ prior to the real thing emerging. Writing — and particularly the kinds I do — is incredibly time-consuming and I don’t have another, reliable income source other than my independent scholarship. Please consider supporting this process, or share with others, if you enjoy the fruits of those efforts!

A place to place plays, while I spin plates. I'm usually writing philosophically about imbrications of technology and culture, drawing on various epistemic lenses from history and science, to law, anthropology, and computing.
